What is Acne?

 In Blog

Acne, medically known as Acne Vulgaris, is a skin disease that involves the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. It commonly occurs during puberty when the sebaceous (oil) glands come to life.

A lot of acne/breakout issues can be resolved with a good skin care routine.  The right products and treatments for your individual skin issues can balance your skin.  The problem with using over the counter products or purchasing a product line that promises to clear acne is that everyone’s skin is different.  A lot of products over dry, causing the skin to over produce oil and ultimately produce more breakouts.  A vicious cycle of over drying/stripping the skin, clearing up, then breaking out again.

Getting professional advice before purchasing or even getting on medication can be more beneficial for getting clear skin.  Acne is not dangerous, but can leave skin scars.  Prevent this…come have a free skin consult today!!!
